Bheki is the visionary. He is the chairman and president of Global Mining and Energy Africa and also heads up various other successful companies that service corporate and government markets. He is passionate about SMME development and is driven to create job opportunities for Africans. He is adamant that Africa can be a phenomenal player on the global stage and wants to be instrumental in building the required capacity and capability in the Mining, energy and logistics industries to make this possible. Bheki believes that with globally proven technology and methodologies customised for the unique needs of the African continent and delivered by Africans global excellence will be accelerated.
Kobus vd Merwe

Kobus is the custodian of excellence in GMEA. He is an international business consultant and gained experience in executive Human Resources and General Management roles in large national and multinational corporations. Kobus consults widely on business optimisation and strategic human resource management. He has offered his expertise to clients in Australia, South America, Africa, and Southern Africa. He lectures and consults at specific mining, manufacturing and service organisations, and construction companies on strategic management processes and human resources systems. Kobus has made presentations at international conferences. He has done benchmark studies and consulting assignments for corporate companies globally.


Frans De Kock
Executive; Operations management
Frans is the Innovator. Frans is one of the founding members of Global Mining Company (USA) and helped create the company on the belief that lasting solutions in companies only happen as the result of a Whole System approach. His 36-year tenure in the mining industry has allowed him to refine the GMC model, which has identified a $23.2 billion NPV for clients since its inception in 1997. Frans is a champion for Whole System Optimization and believes that if there is more value in a client’s core process, GMEA will find it. Frans has now joined GMEA and will manage the relationship between GMC and GMEA to ensure the integrity of the technology and methodology in Africa to fulfill the purpose of GMEA.

Izanne is the Problem Solver. Her impressive tenure in both the Financial and Mining Sectors make her our clients’ most trusted business advisor. Izanne’s unique perspective on organisational challenges has allowed her to develop all the non-technical aspects of the GMC business model. Utilising her 12 years of experience in consulting in the Mining Industry, Izanne consistently plays a fundamental leadership role in completing some of our client’s largest paradigm-shifting projects. Izanne has 27 years of business consulting experience, with a lasting reputation as a leader, a ground breaker, and a champion for change.


Rhulani Maluleke
Technical Director
Rhulani is the custodian of technical integrity. Rhulani is a well-rounded individual in the Minerals Industry. He has a well-developed career up to senior management at various levels and is an entrepreneur equipped with a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering, an MBA, as well as a Production Management Certificate. Rhulani has worked across the globe, various African regions, South Americas, North America’s, and East Europe, covering most of the commodities including Gold, Zn, Cu, Co, Ni, Mn, Iron Ore, Coal, and Heavy Mineral Sands. Rhulani believes that it is possible to grow and improve the African Minerals Industry’s beneficiation by placing together the right capital minds, processes, and robust systems that are sustainable for the current and future metals in the country.
